Crucibles for melting non-ferrous and precious metals and alloys

SYNCARB crucibles are clay-graphite crucibles manufactured by isostatic pressing at high pressure. This technology provides the extremely dense and non-porous structure of the crucible material which has high thermal conductivity, exceptional mechanical stability and high stability to slags and chemicals. Thermal conductivity is min. 4.2 W/m*K; refractoriness: 1,600°C.

STABIL crucibles are carbon-bonded silicon carbide crucibles which are characterized by extremely high thermal conductivity, oxidation stability and unprecedentedly high stability to slags and chemicals. Due to carbon bond, the crucibles have high stability to temperature drop and, therefore, are recommended for fast melting. Thermal conductivity is min. 2.5 W/m*K; refractoriness: 1,600°C.

CLAY-GRAPHITE crucibles are plastically formed, clay-bonded crucibles characterised by high refractoriness and good thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance and cmemical resistance against fluxes.

Crucibles manufactured for induction melting furnaces represent a separate group. They are usually manufactured of cylindrical or conical shape. When selecting the crucible material and wall thickness designed for the induction furnace, it is important to consider the current frequency and power being supplied to the inductor.

1. Crucible shape «BU»

Crucibles with "cup" shape are appropriate for wide range of melting and holding furnaces. For tilting furnaces these crucibles can be produced with recess in bottom and cut-out for spout.
